A book illustration project for a teen fiction about an era when technology surpasses the function religions can bring to people. Gods have become "homeless" without their believers' worship.
In this project, I used elements that really connected with my cultural background. I grew up in the countryside of Taiwan where our activities are deeply connected with Taoism. Apart from TV, almost all of my childhood creative stimulation came from local temples, glove puppetry, and electric flower cars. They are still very beautiful to me even today :)
很開心可以畫到喜歡的主題，我是鄉下孩子小時候印象很深刻的視覺刺激除了當然電視和漫畫以外就是宗教活動了，每次看到布袋戲都很開心，雖然我聽不懂(羞愧)，但太喜歡螢光色的布景舞台了，都會站在前面盯著看很久。還有夜晚的電子花車一長條駛過田間，霓虹的色彩映在休耕的田上，雖然長相驚悚動的仙子總是嚇壞我，但真的很魔幻很美。我現在也還是很喜歡。
